What to do if Mom or Dad’s Android phone is lost

Use Google Find Hub to locate, secure, or erase the device as appropriate. If the missing phone was the normal second step for Google sign-in, use a previously prepared backup method.
Do this now
Open Google Find Hub from another device and sign in to the Google Account used on the missing phone.
Use the available locate or secure options appropriate to the situation.
If the phone was the usual two-step verification method, use another signed-in device, backup phone number, backup code, security key, or passkey if previously configured.
Review important accounts if the device or its unlock method may have been compromised.
Don’t do this
- Do not store Google backup codes inside Next Time Home.
- Do not give verification codes to someone claiming to have found the phone.
- Do not rely on the missing phone as the only route back into the Google Account.
